Milner Dam is one of the earliest on the Snake River and made farming possible in the high desert around Twin Falls and Burley.

A recreation area near the dam offers interpretive signs, a campground and water. Day-use facilities along the reservoir include boat ramps, docks, picnic tables, fire pits and vault toilets. Anglers may want to try their hand at catching catfish. Idaho Power and Milner Dam Inc., annually stock the reservoir with thousands of 6- to 8-inch channel catfish. Oregon trail ruts can be seen in the area, too.
