In 2001 the state of Idaho acquired Emerald Valley Ranch and created Billingsley Creek State Park.

The beautiful lazy Billingsley Creek winds through the east side of the park. The park and creek currently offer spectacular wildlife viewing opportunities and excellent fishing. There is also an indoor horse riding arena and indoor market building. Featured events take place throughout the year, including a local Farmers Market. Some of the park is still used for agricultural purposes. A new paved bike trail runs from the far side of the park and into the town of Hagerman.

The Billingsley Creek unit will receive more upgrades in the near future. These include a co-managed visitor center with the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, RV campground, creek put in and take out and an arboretum.
