Eagle Loop is a wonderful two mile nature walk! The loop is located at Pettit Campground in the South Hills, about an hour from Twin Falls. It is past Magic Mountain Ski Resort by a few minutes. The loop starts on the north side of the campground, and loops back out on the south.
On this hike you will pass gorgeous trees, views of the rolling hills, and wildlife in their natural habitat. It is a very defined trail, and remains that way throughout the hike. There are ATV trails that weave through it occasionally, but there are signs that will show ‘Eagle Trail’ with an arrow pointing in the right direction. All through summer enjoy gorgeous blooms of lupins and other wildflowers along the trail! Fall will bring bright yellows, oranges, and reds as the Aspen Trees change color. Finally, winter provides a perfect cross country ski trail, and a perfect snowshoeing loop! The parking lot is not plowed in the winter. Eagle Loop is dog friendly, as well as Pettit Campground. Enjoy the scenic views of the South Hills!
