Enjoy large pools to swim in, or reserve a private room at either resort. Miracle Hot Springs has amazing glamping domes to camp in as well as full cabins for rent. When you’re ready to cool down, head into Buhl for incredible ice cream at Cloverleaf Creamery. The creamery sources its milk farm to table from their own dairy farm. Grab dinner and a beer at Magic Valley Brewing, also located in Buhl – a short drive from Miracle and Banbury Hot Springs. Twin Falls
Another great place to camp is Rock Creek RV Park. Although it is located inside the city of Twin Falls, the forest area feels quiet and peaceful. There is a hidden waterfall along one of the hiking paths, and a creek flowing through the park. Also, bring your discs for Rock Creek’s disc golf course! It has been reviewed as one of the best in Idaho for its difficulty and views.
Looking for food nearby? Head Downtown Twin Falls just minutes away to find many local businesses. A popular hangout spot is Koto Brewing where they have live music often, and many dishes that are sourced from local farmers. Plus, they are a brewery where you can try delicious beer brewed from hops in the Magic Valley. Memorial Day weekend is always a fun time Downtown Twin Falls. Cool off by taking a tour through Shoshone Ice Cave. Discovered on accident years ago, this cave is totally frozen, even on the hottest days. Every 30 minutes a tour starts, and the guides will inform you on all the incredible history this cave has within. Don’t forget to grab a jacket! Most days, it is around 30 degrees down there. Stop at the Shoshone Snack Shack for great food and ice cream.
Southern Idaho Mountains
Our last recommendations bring you closer to the mountains. The lower South Hill’s snow is mostly gone, and the hills are ready to be explored! Expect beautiful green hills scattered with yellow sunflowers. The campsites are located on the side of Rock Creek Road south of Rock Creek General Store. These sites are moderately secluded and are located near amazing hikes including Ross Falls.
Lastly, Lake Walcott sits south of Craters of the Moon and the Sawtooth Mountains; and north of Minidoka. The views are beautiful from the lake. There are campsites available here, too! This area is perfect for the kids to jump into the water for an incredible weekend on the lake.
We hope you enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend in Southern Idaho!
