The 50-mile canyon is probably best known as the jumping place of daredevil Evel Kneivel in 1974, but has grown in notoriety since then. The Perrine Bridge now stands on the canyon rim as a local landmark. It is the only place in the world where BASE jumpers can gather year-round to experience the thrill of a lifetime.
Those who aren’t fans of participating in extreme sports have plenty of places to spectate as death-defying divers leap from the bridge. Arguably, the best seat in the house is on the water below! In a kayak or paddleboard on the Snake River, you’re able to watch BASE jumpers glide overhead as they descend.
