Idaho hot springs are known for their beauty and tranquility. You can find them all throughout the state, some on top of mountains, others spilling into a tub placed next to a stream. It can however, be hard to find ones that aren’t occupied. The perfect solution is to stay in a yurt with a private hot spring in its back yard! Riverview Yurt with private geothermal hot-pool – Buhl, Idaho
The Riverview Yurt with a private geothermal hot spring was opened in the beginning of 2021. It has been an absolutely incredible addition to the community! The guest book is full of glowing reviews and many thanks for the experience this accommodation provided them!
The 30′ diameter spacious yurt has one queen bed and two full sized futons including all bedding. Kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, hot/cold drinking water dispenser, a microwave and all utensils and table settings. It is easy to prepare a home cooked meal here. One of our favorite things about the private yurt is the heated floors. The property is A.D.A. friendly equip with a large bathroom/changing room, sink and toilet and the yurt is extremely open for easy movement. There is a shower outside near the hot spring.
The Yurt is up on a hillside with great views, plus it is just a short walk from the Snake River. The yurt accommodates up to six, with an in-ground concrete pool full of natural, healing, and totally relaxing 107 degree geothermal water. Other outdoor features include a patio with BBQ grill, and table and chairs. It is quiet and tucked away from the road.
What to do nearby
There are tons of adventures that await near Hagerman and Buhl! Just down the road are two other hot springs you can enjoy. Miracle and Banbury Hot Springs. They are located across the Thousand Springs Byway from each other. Both have large pools to swim in, or VIP pools to book. Banbury Hot Springs’ VIP pools overlook the Snake River, and Miracle Hot Springs’ pools are closed in and intimate. These pools are also filled with natural geothermal water that will provide healing benefits! These benefits include stress relief and muscle relaxation. Spend the entire weekend soaking in all these hot springs and your body will feel great!
The Thousand Springs State Park units are wonderful to visit as well. Stop in at the new Visitor Center in Hagerman (opening in 2022) and find all the locations of the state park. Some of our favorite are Box Canyon, Ritter Island, Billingsley Creek, and Malad Gorge. Box Canyon is only about a 15 minute drive away and provides some of the best views in the entire state!

Any season is fun in Southern Idaho. Spring will bestow rushing waterfalls and blooming trees. Summer brings warm weather, sunshine, and vibrant green landscapes! Fall turns yellow and orange, the weather ranges from 40s-70s, and winter temps tend to be in the 20s-40s. Idaho Hot Spring weather is generally best in the fall and winter. We recommend visiting from October to February because the spring will feel extra good, and the heated floors will keep you nice and cozy!
