Wake in the Snake 2020
Wake the Snake is a free to the public event that takes place each summer on the gorgeous Snake River. 2020’s date is Saturday, July 11th from 9AM-6PM. Enjoy a day on the water watching talented water sportsmen perform, as well as fun yard games, trivia, raffles, and food!
We recommend bringing lawn chairs or blankets to sit out and enjoy the beautiful weather, but the sun can get hot so pop up tents are also a great idea. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase courtesy of Pomerelle Ski Patrol. Make sure to bring lots of water to stay hydrated during this action packed day.

There is still time to sign up for the 22nd Annual Grass Roots Wakeboard Competition, located in Burley at River’s Edge Golf Course. The pre-registration is open June 22nd-July 9th. Every participant will receive a raffle prize after the award ceremony.

Where to Eat and What to do in Burley
Burley has many options for dining. If you’re just watching the event and would like to have a delicious meal on the water be sure to check out The Upper Crust Bistro & Grill! The Upper Crust is located above the Gossner’s Cheese Chalet on the scenic Snake River just north of the tournament. Another one of our favorites is Morey’s Steakhouse, located on the river edge providing amazing views of the mountains.
Escape to the mountains while on your vacation in Burley. Drive south to Castle Rocks State Park and the City of Rocks National Reserve to enjoy gorgeous views. The entire road trip will show off views of the mountains. There are a few places to stop for food and drinks on the way to Castle Rocks and the City of Rocks including Mads Merc & Soda Fountain located in Albion. If you’re craving tasty ice cream, definitely stop here! They also have candy jars, pies, sodas, and fun Idaho merchandise.
