Utah Gravity Series welcomes you to Pomerelle Resort

The Pomerelle Pounder will feature races #2 and #3 of the 2025 Utah Gravity Series1 Each race counts as a separate series event and will offer series points to top finishers in eligible championship categories.

Different race courses each day

Saturday’s race begins at 1:30 p.m. and will feature a 1-Run competition down the “Blaze” course beginning with an incredible start through a field of wildflowers and then a blazing descent through the woods. While not as technical as some tracks, it demands full concentration on the winding, high-speed forest section and ends with a nice drop into the finish chute. Expect finish times to be 3 to 4 minutes.
2024 Saturday race results

Sunday’s race starts at 11:00 a.m. and uses 2 different routes. The Championship classes drop down “Pounder” (which is considerably more technical than both Blaze and the Novice trail). Both tracks start near the top of the chair lift, but Pounder begins dropping down the mountain immediately and soon plunges over an A line/B line dropper and just gets rowdier and rowdier, until finally bottoming out at a stream crossing. Another 1/2 mile of high-speed pedaling reels in the finish line.  Fast times on Pounder are sub 3-minutes, but any time under 4 minutes is great.

Cat 3 athletes will descend the “Novice” course, which begins by pedaling down through a high meadow into multiple long sections of rippin’, wooded single track to the finish line at the bottom. This track is really fun and while still a challenge, it’s much less technical than the other 2 courses. If your new to DH racing, this is a good track to cut your teeth on.
