Canyon Crest Viewpoint
This viewpoint offers extraordinary views of Centennial Waterfront Park, Perrine Coulee Falls, and Canyon Springs Golf Course. This is a great place to take a snapshot of the Snake River Canyon year-round.

The Bonneville Flood which took place over 100,000 years ago helped shape the modern-day Snake River Canyon.
History
The Snake River is the largest tributary of the Columbia River and one of the most important streams in the Pacific Northwest section of the United States. Swinging northwest near the mouth of Greys River, it enters Idaho through the Palisades Reservoir. The upper Snake River, above King Hill, Idaho, is used for irrigation and hydropower (built in the 1960s and 1970s). In 1976 the Teton Dam collapsed, causing disastrous flooding in the upper Snake River Valley.
