Before Dinner
Rupert is a lovely town to wander with your loved one. The Historic Rupert Square has a gorgeous fountain in the middle to sit and relax. There are plenty of benches, tables, and other seating around the shimmering fountain. Don’t forget to take a selfie here! Grab a coffee at E-Street Deli and window shop around the square. Many of the one of a kind buildings on the square are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Catch a show at the Historic Wilson Theatre also located on one of the corners of the Rupert Square. Opera, movies, performances, and events can be found here at least once a month. The Theatre is stunning, and newly remodeled to be more comfortable than ever.
Dinner Time
After walking the square and enjoying a show, head just across the street for dinner. Dine at our favorite historic restaurant, Henry’s at the Drift Inn. The newly renovated Drift Inn offers a convinent place to stay right on the Rupert Square. Plus, it doubles as a delicious restaurant! Enjoy the small – town atmosphere and delightful service. Henry’s offers a variety of dishes from shrimp to prime rib. They also have an excellent selection of wine as well as a complete bar.
Sunset Romance
End your date night by driving north to Lake Walcott State Park. This quiet park offers many places to lay out a blanket and enjoy each other’s presence. Pick one of the docks along the shoreline to enjoy the gorgeous lake. As the sunsets the lake lights up orange and red – providing the most beautiful and warm views around.
